Judge Jeanine Pirro Fox News has dropped her over comments she made about Representative Ilhan Omar from Minnesota. “Omar wears the hijab, which according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested. Pirro said during her "Opening Statement" segment on March 10.. "Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?" The furor over Pirro was sparked when she questioned the loyalty of Muslims who wear hijabs or head coverings, as Omar does. For me this is a valid concern. Muslims all over the world have proven that their faith forbids them from supporting a government which does not conform to the Koran. The many reports from Europe confirm this. FOX, CNN and MSN will no longer be watched. I will watch the evening news as before, read the Arizona Star and use the Internet. Jack B. Walters March 21, 2019

I always enjoy her programs. She is a no-nonsense type who tells it like it is; as opposed to the others who after you listen you are not sure of what they said. Muslims all over the world have proven again and again that their faith forbids them from supporting a government which does not conform to the Koran. The many reports from Europe confirm this. It is an important question. Are any of you old enough to remember when JFK had to state publicly that he would not take orders from the Pope. He just barely defeated Nixon due in part to this question. I realize that Omar had to pledge allegiance to our Constitution when sworn in. She no doubt placed her left hand on the Koran. That is not enough to satisfy me. I want at least to hear her say it. Two years ago I stopped watching MSNBC and CNN. I am now adding FOX News to that list. I will watch the evening news as before, read the Arizona Star and use the Internet. The cowards at Fox do not deserve you watching. I hope you will follow my conviction. Jack B. Beyond Wealth by Alexander Green

(The road map to a rich life) This is a very readable book containing many subjects in short two or three page coverage. You can read a few then put it down and read again later. His purpose is to get you to think beyond money in your personal quest for happiness. In this he is very successful, at least for me. It contains sixty-five commentaries on topics ranging from love, health, leisure, honor, courage, trust, philosophy, history, science and spirituality. He includes thoughts from famous people such as Shakespeare, Thoreau, Emerson, Gandhi, Einstein, Tolstoy and other great minds. I give this my highest recommendation to read. Jack B. Solution to Colorado Water Shortage

The experts have studied this problem for Decades. Our Legislature has approved Millions to aid farmers to dig wells and deplete the ground water. The process is ongoing and continuous. There is a proven solution which is so obvious it is mind boggling, all we have to do is what the State of Israel has done, desalinate sea water. They have created lush gardens as a result. The Pacific Ocean contains enough; I believe to satisfy the needs of California. With that State no longer needing Colorado River water, there would be sufficient to satisfy the needs of the other States, Mexico and the Indian Tribes. It would cost Billions; I am sure, but so what. Water is such a basic need, it doesn’t matter. We throw away Trillions in useless wars in the Middle East. Use some of that for America. I am not a Scientist. There are problems to solve, like not disrupting marine life and disposal of the salt. Don’t re-invent the wheel, just ask the Israeli’s, I am sure they would be glad to provide the information required. Jack B. Walters February 16, 2019

The President's Club by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy

This is an interesting, little known story of how the Presidents starting with Truman and Hoover came together for support and service of those who had previously been President. Interestingly enough this was true regardless of political party nor the negative comments that usually appear during campaigns. Hoover was asked by Truman to head the relief effort for starving Europeans at the end of WWII. With the exception of Kennedy who died early in office the others after FDR lived long lives. Some of course are still alive today. It was not all positive but overall it was nice to learn of the comradeship. I did not like to read that LBJ relied so heavily on Eisenhower for advice during the Vietnam War. He encouraged LBJ to push the fight; a war we all now know was a disaster. On two occasions Carter diffused tension; once by going to N. Korea and the second Haiti. Both times he was successful. I leave it to you to read for yourself. I only mentioned the above to get your interest. It is well worth you taking the time to read. Jack B. Walters January 24, 2019

Shutdown Comments

Nancy and Chuck have precedent on their side. For decades whenever there was an impending shutdown it was always the Republicans that caved. President Trump won’t cave but I predict that the Republicans will cross over and join with the Democrats and abandon Trump with enough votes to prevent a veto. Most of them disagree with him on many issues. It is Trump who cares about workers something the Republicans never did. I consider him an Independent who is Republican in name only. With the ongoing abuse he takes on a daily basis from all quarters I am amazed he can take it all in and continue to fight for what he considers important. Keep in mind that curtailing illegal immigration was the foundation of his campaign. If both Presidents’ Bush could attack any country they felt endangered America then certainly building a wall at our Southern Border should be acceptable. The joke is that the Democrats have railed against illegal immigration as far back as Bill Clinton who gave an impassioned address to Congress. Check the Internet to hear Clinton in 1995, Obama in 2006 and Schumer in 2009.The only reason they are opposed now is to deny Trump fulfilling his campaign pledge. If Trump doesn’t get his funding he will use the military. As commander-in-chief he is duty bound to protect Americans. This he will do unless the Judicial and Congress finds a way to stop him which I do not believe they can do short of impeachment which has been their only program for the past two years. Jack B.
