Solution to Colorado Water Shortage

The experts have studied this problem for Decades. Our Legislature has approved Millions to aid farmers to dig wells and deplete the ground water. The process is ongoing and continuous. There is a proven solution which is so obvious it is mind boggling, all we have to do is what the State of Israel has done, desalinate sea water. They have created lush gardens as a result. The Pacific Ocean contains enough; I believe to satisfy the needs of California. With that State no longer needing Colorado River water, there would be sufficient to satisfy the needs of the other States, Mexico and the Indian Tribes. It would cost Billions; I am sure, but so what. Water is such a basic need, it doesn’t matter. We throw away Trillions in useless wars in the Middle East. Use some of that for America. I am not a Scientist. There are problems to solve, like not disrupting marine life and disposal of the salt. Don’t re-invent the wheel, just ask the Israeli’s, I am sure they would be glad to provide the information required. Jack B. Walters February 16, 2019
